A6 Universe

The A6 Universe is an alternate world belonging to the A-Type Multiverse. It is inspired by the events of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, the 6th installment of the Touhou Project series.

Description

The A6 Universe is an "extended incident" universe: the Scarlet Mist Incident, caused by Remilia Scarlet, has never ended. Unlike other A-Type Multiverse universes, about half of the A6 Universe's inhabitants are entirely original to LostWord. The characters are sorted according to LostWord's in-game order, which, CD and manga-exclusive characters aside, matches their first ever appearances in the original Touhou Project games. Knowing this, it can be noted that:

• Characters from Reimu Hakurei to Flandre Scarlet debuted in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, with Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame specifically making their Windows era debuts. Their designs are based on their dialogue portraits, although more liberties were taken with Daiyousei and Koakuma who only have battle sprites.
• Characters from Alice Margatroid to Sunny Milk debuted in other works. However, none of them have designs based on their debuts, and Alice Margatroid and Yuuka Kazami resemble their PC-98 counterparts.
  • Yuuka Kazami debuted in Lotus Land Story (TH4) and made her Windows era debut in Phantasmagoria of Flower View (TH9).
  • Tenshi Hinanawi debuted in Scarlet Weather Rhapsody (TH10.5).
  • Sunny Milk debuted in the four-parter Touhou Sangetsusei manga.
  • All others debuted in Perfect Cherry Blossom (TH7), and Alice's non-Windows debut was in Mystic Square (TH5).

The A6 Universe is the 6th universe within the A-Type Multiverse. Unlike other universes, this number notation does not indicate divergence scale. The meaning of the A symbol is currently unknown.

Etymology

A characteristic unique to the A-Type Multiverse is the addition of a universe-specific epithet after a character's title. This epithet is in brackets to separate it from the title and directly references the Touhou Project game a universe is based on. The A6 Universe's epithets are based on the game's full name, 東方紅魔郷　～ the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.
